Therapy that meets you where you are - and grows with you
Edinburgh and online
Hi, I'm Amber
Clients often come to me feeling unsure, anxious, stuck, struggling with low self-esteem and self-criticism and leave feeling stronger, lighter and more confident in themselves and their lives.
Exhausted from holding it all together?
You don’t have to carry it alone.
I am a BACP registered therapist with 5 years of experience. I hold a Master’s in Counselling from the University of Edinburgh, and I work with people who are ready to understand themselves with more kindness and less pressure, and feel more empowered in their lives and choices.
I offer therapy that’s:
Person-centred (you lead the way)
Neuroaffirming (no shame, no fixing)
Grounded in curiosity and compassion
In our work together, we might explore things like:
Self-esteem and self-acceptance
Stress, low mood and confidence issues
Burnout, imposter syndrome & anxiety
Boundaries, relationships & chronic shame
Navigating life transitions
There’s no expectations or pressure or know exactly what you want from therapy. We’ll go at your pace, taking time to understand what’s happening for you and building trust as we go.
"Amber was incredibly warm and welcoming, she put me at ease and worked with me in a way that suited my needs. This allowed me to find a new confidence in myself and reset my boundaries.’’

‘‘Amber helped me understand how past experiences shaped my decisions. Through her support, I learnt to forgive myself and look to the future with hope. I’m now living a happier, emotionally healthier life — so grateful for her guidance!’’
Therapy that follows your lead
I offer person-centred therapy, which means our sessions are shaped by you, not by a fixed agenda or a checklist of techniques. You set the pace. You decide what we explore and when.
What you'll find here isn't clinical distance or careful neutrality. You'll be met with warmth, directness, and the occasional when it fits. Sometimes a touch of humour makes it all a it more bearable.
I draw on both person-centred and psychodynamic ways of working. A lot of this, for me, comes down to the relationship. Creating somewhere that actually feels safe to be honest in. Not performing "fine." Not managing how you come across. Just being met, properly, by someone who's paying attention. Sometimes that means staying with what's happening for you right now. Other times it means looking back — at where a pattern started, what it was protecting you from, why it's stuck around. That's usually where things start to shift.
Together, we'll slow things down, explore what's really going on underneath, and start untangling the patterns that keep you stuck. Over time, many of my clients begin to see themselves and their choices differently, all because they finally had space to understand what they truly needed to move forward.

What brings people to therapy
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You don't need a diagnosis, a crisis, or even a clear sense of what's wrong. Sometimes the only thing you know is that something needs to change.
